Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade association established in 1950 that represents more than 23,000 members.

Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 67 chapters help members develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work.

This week, three ABCSD alumni volunteered at Cajon Valley Middle School to inspire students about careers in the trades at the Grit Leads to Greatness outreach event!

Thank you to Sergio Blancas, Journeyman at HPS Mechanical, Sam McBride, ABCSD Instructor & Superintendent at HPS Mechanical, and Blake Wilshusen, Superintendent at SJ Electric, for sharing your expertise!

Our volunteers visited two 6th-grade classes, answering questions about their trade and career paths in plumbing and electrical work.
